Parks Seasonal Laborer Positions

$9.75 – $11.25/hr
Start Date: ASAP
Provide general maintenance duties such as mowing, weeding, mulching, gardening, trail grooming, and ball field preparations. Requires a Michigan Driver’s license and good driving record. 25 – 40 hours/week, variable work schedules, weekends included.

Concession Positions
$8.15/hr (starting)
Start Date: April 2015
Sell concession items to the general public. Basic duties include cash handling, customer service, computerized cash register operation, cleaning, mopping, stocking, some light lifting (up to 20 lbs). No previous experience required. 5-20 hours/week, any day but mostly evenings and weekends.

Building Attendants – Longacre House and Ice Arena
$9.75/hr (starting)
Start Date: April 2015
Basic Duties may include light building maintenance, handling money, lifting 25 – 50 lbs, opening and closing the building, and custodial responsibilities. At the Ice Arena, it also includes driving the Zamboni to resurface the ice. Previous experience preferred but not required. 16-29 hours/week, some days but mostly evenings and weekends.

Summer Camp and Nature Camp Positions
$8.15/hr (starting)
Start Date: June 2015
Supervise and provide a safe environment for children, develop lesson plans, and interact with children through leading games, arts and crafts, gym play, outdoor activities, field trips and a variety of other camp activity, providing a balance of fun and educational programming daily throughout children’s summer camp experience. 32 – 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, some weekends.

$11.50-$13.00/hr (starting)
Start Date: ASAP
Prepare and cook food for Meals on Wheels, congregate lunch program and occasional evening events. 25+ hours/week, 8a – 1p weekdays.

Dish Washer
Start Date: ASAP
Wash dishes, help organize the store room, assist with food packing and other duties as needed. 25+ hours/week, 9a – 1:30p weekdays.

Summer Counselors

The Redford Township Leisure Services Department is seeking counselors for their Summer Playground Program for youth ages 6-13.
The program begins June 22, 2015 and runs Monday—Friday from 10a—4p, through August 14, 2015. Extra hours may also be available.

  • Applicants must be 18 years or older and preferably have experience working with youth.
  • Salary is $10.62/hour.

Interested applicants must complete an application and submit it along with a copy of your high school diploma, to the Redford Township Personnel Office located at 15145 Beech Daly Road.

Minimum Qualifications

Position Summary

The Engineer in Training (EIT) Program is an entry-level program for engineers to learn core Rockwell Automation product technologies and to develop fundamental field/remote support engineering skills. This program prepares recent engineering graduates from around the world to be Support Engineers who provide engineering services to support the installation, start-up, maintenance and operation of automation control, drive, and manufacturing systems as well as Industrial networks for Rockwell Automation customers. The program includes a combination of formal classroom training and work assignments to give engineers hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation’s products and technologies. Training focuses on both technical and leadership competencies.

Program participants will have a high level of interaction with Rockwell Automation’s leaders and will receive many opportunities to build their professional network.

Upon completion of the training program, engineers are assigned to a full time position in one of the following areas based on candidate selection and availability:

• Remote Support Engineer
• Field Service Engineer
• Consulting Engineer
• Control/Project Engineer
• Training/Performance Specialist
• Application Engineer
• Product Development

The production department at FSD works on several original sports programs such as LIVE Tigers, Wings & Pistons. Plus pre-games/post games etc. Also, weekly and special series are produced involving local professional and collegiate teams.

Current projects and tasks that will be assigned to the intern:

The intern will work directly with our Production Assistants and Producers on our original programming with daily office duties such as logging/dubbing/highlight notation. You’ll have the opportunity to work/shadow in the studio and live production truck environment.
